SAIC is seeking an IT Infrastructure Mission Engineer to join the Space and Intelligence Business Group providing systems engineering and technical advisory services to a rapidly expanding Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer. The customer is developing the next generation of space and ground systems, architectures, and hardware and software solutions. This position is located in Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.
The IT Infrastructure Mission Engineer will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and System Program Office (SPO) representative coordinating with the development contractor and stakeholders (including end user operators) for deployment of new protection capabilities into space operations. The IT Infrastructure Mission Engineer collaborates within a team of mission-related SMEs to coordinate system development, infrastructure requirements, and advise on IT infrastructure implementation strategies facilitating deployment of space protection capabilities.
The IT Infrastructure Mission Engineer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Cloud architecting and implementation.
- Implementing DevSecOps and on-boarding new technology.
- Supporting agile ceremonies, reviews, demos, and testing.
- Supporting Contracting Officer Technical Representative(s) and developers to refine requirements, designs, and testing capabilities to meet user needs.
- Performing multi-year IT strategic planning.
- Advising on multi-level security and cross-domain solutions.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelor's and 9 or more years of experience; master's and 7 or more years of experience; PhD and 4 or more years of experience.
- Note: Significant customer experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 5 years of experience in IT operations, architecture, engineering, and/or software deployment.
- Experience with AWS and/or other commercial Cloud offering.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with NRO's IT budgeting, provisioning, expenditure tracking, and management.
- Proficiency with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
- Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline tools.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Exposure to FedRAMP, NIST, and FISMA compliance, Federal procurement, cybersecurity controls, or other Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) processes.
