SAIC is seeking an experienced technical lead to provide support to the Associate Chief Information Officer (ACIO) for a dynamic Research & Development program in Chantilly, Virginia. You will work with stakeholders to ensure system compliance, coordinate the implementation of IT capabilities, and ensure projects meet cost, schedule, and quality benchmarks. The ideal candidate blends a strong background in systems administration and cybersecurity with strong critical thinking skills and a deep commitment to customer success.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide Associate Chief Information Officer (ACIO) support and leadership for the organization, governing IT strategy, compliance, budget, and cross-domain coordination across multiple mission environments
Exercise governance and oversight of IT assets, ensuring compliance with accreditation and continuous monitoring requirements across all systems
Maintain direct engagement with Information System Owners (ISOs), providing visibility into asset status, risks, and ongoing activities
Enforce Privileged User (PU) access controls, ensuring required certifications and mandatory training are completed prior to granting access
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, SLAs, and contribute to annual budget planning
Ensure compliance with Information Technology (IT), Information Assurance (IA), and Information Management (IM) initiatives across all IT assets
Partner closely with customers to gather and prioritize IT requirements across offices and programs
Provide solution engineering support for new and emerging IT capabilities
Serve as the primary IT point of contact for Tracking Information & Enterprise Responses (TIERs)
Collaborate with Security stakeholders to obtain approvals and authorizations for new IT requirements
Lead bi-weekly coordination meetings with ACIO, Security, and IT teams to drive alignment and issue resolution
Provide representation at the monthly ACIO Working Group, collaborating with ACIOs across the organization
Define and execute the long-term IT strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring scalability, security, and performance
Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
Bachelor's degree and 14 years or more experience; Master's degree and 12 years or more experience; PhD and 9 years or more experience.
10+ years of relevant experience in Information Technology, Network Administration, or Cybersecurity fields
Knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including Cloud, Networking, Server/Storage, Virtualization, Audio/Video, and IT Security to effectively collaborate with technical and security teams.
Familiarity and experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and activities
Exceptional oral and written skills with experience in writing, preparing briefs, and presenting to senior leadership.
