SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Joint Doctrine Analyst to provide onsite support to the Joint Staff, J-7, Joint Education and Doctrine Division (JEDD) in Suffolk, VA. This role directly contributes to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) force development/readiness initiatives and the enhancement of joint doctrine for the United States Armed Forces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis to support the joint doctrine development and revision processes.
- Doctrine Development: Produce reviews of emerging doctrines and collaborate with government stakeholders to write future doctrine chapters.
- Collaboration: Work closely with counterparts in other J-7 divisions, including joint concepts, experimentation, and joint training, to ensure cohesive doctrine development.
- Special Projects: Assist in special projects such as collecting inputs for assessments, conducting Universal Joint Task List (UJTL) to doctrine linkage reviews, and other ad-hoc tasks as needed.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with the Joint Doctrine Development Community (JDDC) stakeholders to facilitate ongoing discussions and initiatives.
- Organizational Support: Provide support and actively participate in various organizational processes, including standard operating procedure development, project meetings, and Joint Working Groups (JWGs) organized by military and government personnel.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, including knowledge or development of joint and Service doctrines or concepts, or experience in developing and promulgating joint or Service policies and plans at strategic or operational levels.
- Recent experience serving on the Joint Staff, within a combatant command, or on a Service command staff is highly desired.
