SAIC is seeking a KC-135 BOSS Simulator Certification (SIMCERTs) SME for a remote role.
Responsibilities:
· Accomplish certifications of ATDs to include hardware and software configuration and device operations.
· Accomplish a full range of quality assurance (QA) and ground safety programs, to include preliminary evaluation and continuing surveillance of QA and safety procedures and methods
· Evaluate simulator inspection records and maintenance records, and ensure contractor establishes and maintains the software configuration baseline for aircraft weapons systems.
· Evaluate and test proposed contractor ATD modifications and make recommendations to the supervisor about where deficiencies exist.
· Ensure accurate simulation is maintained, to include complete integration of changes with associated systems.
· Interface with aircrew and aeronautical simulator industry stakeholders.
· Participate in technical discussions relating to aircraft simulators and other aircraft training aids.
· Maintain a close working relationship with contractors during all phases of the ATD sustainment/modification process.
· Prepare on-site evaluation reports of ATD performance and submit to government.
· Provide technical support to TSSC on software and hardware changes to simulator devices and field assigned Contractor Operations and Maintenance Support personnel.
· Coordinate the development and execution of DMO and ATD plans for MAF-specified systems and related equipment that may encompass new technologies and complicated fielding requirements.
· Assist NGB with studies of ongoing aircrew training operations to evaluate DMO and ATD planning issues.
Qualifications
Required Experience/Qualifications:
· Former or current USAF Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) Instructor-Rated Boom Operator with over 2,000 flying hours
· Must have previously served in the Air National Guard (ANG) or have knowledge of the ANG structure.
Must be a US Citizen and currently possess a Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor's and 14; or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
