SAIC is seeking a Logistics Associate in Bedford Indiana to support the TACP programs in cradle to grave logistics.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position will provide administrative, logistics and data entry support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC). The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, proficiency in logistics software, and experience with inventory management. The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, knowledge of supply chain processes, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to take direction from seasoned team members. 

Note: This role will be fully onsite in Bedford, IN.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Use Inventory Database Management tools such as database applications such as Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Costpoint, and SharePoint for tracking inventory to include receipts, issues, and inventory adjustments using standard and specialized logistics inventory systems such as Navy Registry or other Navy, Army, USAF, or DOD Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) systems. 
  • Support all stages of procurement process from filling out required forms, requesting Unique Material Master (UMM) numbers and extend material numbers to appropriate Storage Locations (SLOC's), tracking progress of purchases, using current database or generated excel spreadsheets. 
  • Track material usage and set re-order levels based on input from engineering techs or other inputs. 
  • Support receiving Airborne Electro-Optics/IR or similar assets, scheduling required maintenance, monitoring the maintenance and return of assets to the appropriate activity using current shipping standards, Form DD1149, Form DD1348s, Shop Workload Management System (SWMS), Navy Enterprise Resource program (Navy ERP) or other maintenance management database. 

  • Calculating procurement lead time, repair turnaround time, spare parts health assessments based on usage, forecasting annual requirements and assisting with forecasting demand based on previous and current data. 
  • Preparing periodic and ad-hoc reports to provide updated status of transactions performed and any issues encountered/resolved. 

  • Managing our Technical Manual effort as well as being logistician support.

  • Inventorying material daily to ensure inventory levels are accurate.

  • Supporting production requests with inventory pulls from warehouse and managing these moves electronically

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 0 years of experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD or an associate's degree with at least 2 years of experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD or equivalent military experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD in lieu of a degree 

  • No clearance required to start however must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance.  SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen 

  • Proficient with computers and experience in Microsoft Office programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Outlook 

  • Proficient in the use of database applications such as Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) and SharePoint 

  • Experienced in Inventory Database Management and tracking to include receipts, issues, and inventory adjustments using standard and specialized logistics inventory systems such as Navy Registry or other USMC, USAF, or DOD Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) systems 

  • Able to work independently and be detail oriented, multi-task supporting multiple customers both internal and external 

  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs 

  • Must be able to work for prolonged periods both sitting while working at a desk/computer and working on his or her feet 

  • Must not have limited mobility precluding reaching overhead, stooping/kneeling or making repetitive motions
