SAIC is seeking a Mission Integration Engineer to support SAIC's Prime Program, Landmark AOS in Chantilly VA. Landmark AOS is a large SETA program, supporting the NRO's Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle. A current and active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Polygraph is required for this role.
As the Mission Integration Engineer, you provide specialized systems engineering and operations expertise supporting definition, development and integration of multi-intelligence (multi-INT) software capabilities to meet urgent National Security priorities. SAIC's client is tasked with leading the integration of mission focused tools to foster increased efficiency, automation and information sharing in maintaining custody of objects of interest. You will assist and advise Government managers responsible for the complete end-to-end life cycle of the customer's Ground Enterprise. You will also support solution engineering, integrated architecture development, and operational integration of multi-INT tools and data across the full breadth of the National Security enterprise.
The successful candidate for this position will bring a record of Joint/Combined military operations, systems engineering methods and creative thought-leadership to mature and develop mission solutions to pressing intelligence needs.
Job Responsibilities to include:
- Exercise thought leadership and practical engineering application leveraging direct experience to assist the Program Management Office with solution engineering, program planning and mission integration of capabilities and data flows to meet program requirements.
- Decompose stakeholder and system requirements, facilitate discussion and understanding of CONOPS, schedule impacts, and trades.
- Engage with other systems engineers directly supporting programs to enhance cross-program integration, track solution delivery progress and assist in developing digital work products.
- Participate in and contribute to technical and programmatic interchanges; identify and resolve issues; and provide engineering and technical advice to the customer to achieve innovative capabilities.
- Provide technical expertise to support the planning of future systems and architectures.
- Develop briefings and documentation material, including architecture views and technical roadmaps.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
- Broad systems engineering exposure (e.g. system architecture and design, integration of system requirements, CONOPS development, systems verification to develop solutions)
- Expertise developing solutions (sets of technical requirements) to satisfy broad mission requirements in alignment with user CONOPS
- Experience balancing development priorities, schedule, and risk to deliver mission capabilities
- Understanding of current IC/DoD ISR architectures (GEOINT, SIGINT, OPIR, and/or MTI) and their planned employment across the TCPED cycle to achieve mission effects
- Experience using US Government systems including, but not limited to: MARS, FADE, THRESHER, ChatSurfer, or Bodhi
- Proven ability to work effectively and collaborate in a dynamic, fast paced team
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently execute work
- Strong oral and written communications ability on significant technical matters often requiring coordination within a high tempo environment
