SAIC is currently seeking a talented .NET System/Software Developer to join a remote and hybrid team.
This is a fulltime position supporting US Fleet Forces Command N46 and the Environmental Information Management System (EIMS) system.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a remote/hybrid team environment and will develop software in web or thin client environments.
Candidate will interface with end-users, system engineers and database administrators on a regular basis so interpersonal skills are a must. Strong analysis skills to solve problems will be key to success.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (IT)-related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience [OR] Associate's Degree in IT-related field or Professional Developer Certificate in a field relevant to EIMS with at least 4 years of relevant experience [OR] At least 6 years of relevant experience.
Clearance Requirement
This position requires a background check and that the candidate currently be and remain eligible for a SECRET clearance. Inability to obtain and maintain a successful background check will result in candidate being ineligible for this position. **U.S. Citizenship is required in order to obtain the required clearance**
Desired Experience
- Experience as a web-based application engineer/developer using .NET technologies.
- Specific development experience with Classic ASP, C#, JavaScript, AJAX, and SQL.
- Understanding of the .NET MVC Framework
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle, strong analysis skills, experience in designing, developing, implementing testing in .NET based business applications.
- Experience working with source control technologies such as GIT, Subversion, Microsoft TFS, or similar.
- Understanding of how continuous integration and DevSecOps processes work on a development team.
- Prior to the hire date, the candidate must possess one of the following Information Security certifications:
- Security+
- CISA (Certified Information System Auditor)
- GSE (GIAC Security Essentials)
- CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional)
Nice to Have
- Develop custom geospatial applications using APIs from Google, MapBox, ESRI, Openlayers and other related technologies.
- Experience working with Oracle PL/SQL using SQL Plus, SQL Developer, or Toad in order to create tables, packages, procedures, etc.
- Proficiency working within a Cloud technology such was AWS or Azure for virtualization, database, file storage, and web application hosting.
- Experience with code scanning software such as HP Fortify, Checkmarx, or Sonarqube.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
