SAIC is seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer to join our team and propel the organization forward in supporting a large IT Enterprise contract located near Annapolis Junction, MD. Contract award is expected in September 2025 with a start in October 2025.
A Network Engineer designs solutions, integrates, configures, deploys, tests, and provides ongoing maintenance for numerous types of network devices, interfaces and methodologies, ensuring network security, performance, and availability. Tasks include system performance optimization and dataflow management, connecting front-end and back-end components, developing network and mission architectures to meet mission requirements, leading dynamic installation projects, and performing network accreditations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Implement specific network solutions to support server requirements to include load-balancing, VPN's, firewall contexts, VoIP, GRE Tunneling, IPSec, IP Encryption, MoIP, and NAT.
- Integrate hardware and software to satisfy ISO 9000 requirements and other DoD/IC regulations.
- Resolve complex network problems, operate network analyzers, WAN test equipment and network simulators.
- Design modules representing traditional circuit switched networks and develop algorithms using networking and/or telecommunications technologies and systems.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline and ten (10) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support and training or a Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline and twelve (12) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support. Fifteen (15) years of relevant experience providing Network Engineering support may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree or Twenty (20) years for a Master's degree.
- IAT Level III baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M.
- Cisco certification in at least one of the following: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE.
Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
