JOB DESCRIPTION: 

eXPEDITIONARY fORCE PROTECTION (EFP) aNALYST

Description

SAIC is currently seeking a Principal Policy Analyst. The successful candidate will provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the Secretariat for Special Operations (SSO) within Capability, Development & Innovation (CD&I). CD&I conducts rapid research and development (R&D) of technical solutions and delivers novel capabilities to enhance the irregular warfare mission for the Department of Defense, Special Operations Community, and Intelligence Community. The EFP analyst will coordinate R&D projects, develop and refine end-user requirements, provide project management, and interface with international partners.

Responsibilities:

·         Provide technical and operational advice related to EFP mission focus areas. The EFP focus areas include: Blast Effects and Mitigation; Screening, Observation, Detection, and Protection; Maritime Security; and Subterranean Warfare and/or Tunnel Technologies.

·         Ensure successful execution and delivery of multiple research and development projects simultaneously from receiving requirements to project completion.

·         Interface with special operations and conventional military end users to develop technology requirements and potential solutions.

·         Coordinate with international defense partners and collaborate on international task plans for shared requirements.

·         Develop documents for project initiation that include statements of work (SOWs), technical evaluations, independent government cost estimates (IGCE), contract data requirements lists (CDRLs), etc.

·         Facilitate and manage the EFP irregular warfare project portfolio at a programmatic level, in close coordination with the government program manager.

·         Support operational test and evaluation events, conduct system fielding, and manage feedback collection efforts.

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements:

·         Bachelor's Degree & 10 years of experience, OR Master's Degree and 8 years of experience

·         Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI 

 

Other Skills Preferred:

·         Five years of experience in subterranean warfare operations and/or tunnel technologies with DoD/Customs and Border Protection background or five years of experience in military operations (Combat Arms, Combat Engineering, Special Operations, etc.)

·         DAWIA Level One Certification (Program Management + Test and Evaluation)
