SAIC has new opportunities to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Tech Center in Atlantic City, NJ! These positions are 100% onsite and may require some travel to other airports within the United States.
Job Responsibilities may include:
- Develop and maintain detailed build schedules that align with TFDM program milestones, deployment windows, and site-specific readiness.
- Coordinate build timelines with FAA stakeholders (AJM, AJT, AJW), system developers, integrators, and field deployment teams to ensure synchronized delivery.
- Track software build versions, adaptation configurations, and site-specific deployment packages to ensure accurate and authorized release baselines.
- Maintain tight control over build content, including software modules, interface files, security updates, and adaptation data.
- Compile, validate, and stage complete TFDM build packages for installation, including software binaries, configuration files, installation scripts, and documentation.
- Ensure packages are built according to FAA standards and include all required components for successful site deployment and operation.
- Serve as the central point of coordination between software engineering, integration, adaptation, cybersecurity, test, and hardware teams to ensure all elements required for a build are synchronized.
- Facilitate technical exchanges and status meetings to drive alignment across functional stakeholders.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and internal dry runs to validate the integrity and functionality of each software build prior to deployment.
- Ensure that all builds meet quality, compliance, and performance standards before field release.
- Coordinate with Site Implementation Teams to align build delivery with physical hardware readiness, adaptation validation, and site cutover schedules.
- Track and manage the distribution of build media, version documentation, and required certificates or signatures.
- Maintain accurate records of build content, version histories, release notes, and change logs for each deployment instance.
- Support configuration audits and technical reviews with comprehensive documentation packages.
- Identify risks related to build delays, misconfigurations, or integration challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
- Track and resolve build-related issues during testing, integration, or deployment with a focus on root cause analysis and prevention.
- Provide regular status updates, build readiness briefings, and deployment coordination reports to TFDM leadership and FAA oversight personnel.
- Facilitate the use of project management tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project, SharePoint) to communicate progress and manage action items.
- Refine and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for TFDM build planning, coordination, and delivery.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance build reliability, speed, and transparency across the program lifecycle.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor of Arts/Science degree and 6+ years of relevant engineering/aviation experience, preferably with FAA programs. May accept equivalent of additional degrees or experience.
Required Clearance:
- US Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Public Trust.
