SAIC is actively seeking a Senior Capture Manager to support the Air Force DODAC team.  The role of Senior Capture Manager at SAIC is one of responsibility, leadership and value.  Capture Managers are the senior leaders of business development, consistently working across operations, service line and proposal centers to ensure a continuous stream of new business for the company.  THIS IS A REMOTE OPPORTUNITY.  

Capture Managers at SAIC are an integral part of the strategy and growth within a specific Business Unit.  As the Federal market continues to evolve, SAIC is well positioned with products and solutions to support our customers.  The Air Force and other Combatant Command agencies are facing unprecedented challenges in multiple areas.  SAIC is a leading provider in Systems Integration, Systems Engineering, Cloud Migration, IT as a Service, Cloud Services and Product Development for these agencies.  Capture Managers are the agents that are charged with leading teams to help solve these customer's needs.  At SAIC, Capture Managers are empowered to lead multi-faceted teams through the entire capture and proposal process.  The Air Force/DODAC organization has a broad pipeline of small and large opportunities across multiple technical areas and government agencies.  This pipeline provides a diverse and interesting capture environment in many cutting edge technology areas.      

The successful candidate will have led previous captures ~$500M within the Air Force community. This candidate will lead strategy, Capture, and Proposal efforts for $5B+ pipeline of recompete, takeaway, and on-contract growth efforts.  The ideal candidate will demonstrate the experience and career path trajectory required to manage the full scope of business practices required to manage an opportunity pipeline, including opportunity identification and qualification, associated reviews and client management through opportunity close.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of eighteen (18) years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Must be able to reference a portfolio of submittals and awards that include experience in all types of government contracts (FFP, T&M, Cost Plus) and full array of capture strategies (re-competes, incumbent capture, sole source, etc.).
  • A demonstrated sustained ability and reputation of winning complex, prime integration services or systems engineering contract awards with values over $50M that meets and exceeds challenging goals and quotas is required.
  • Proven ability to lead complex capture effort and diverse teams to win new business.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell and interact with customers on SAIC capabilities. Lead all aspects of capture and win strategy to include but not limited to: selling, shaping, competitive intel, pricing and price to win, solution development, and teaming.
  • Knowledge and experience of GSA FEDSIM proposals and contracts desired.
  • Current knowledge of Air Force and other DoD Agencies and mission partners, including existing customer and industry peer relationships.
  • Capture management training (Shipley, Miller Heiman or other).
  • Outstanding verbal, writing, and inter-personal skills needed to communicate effectively and persuasively with personnel at all levels, both in customer spaces and within SAIC.
  • Knowledge of various contract vehicles including FFP, FPIF, T+M, CPFF/AF/IF.
  • Understanding of GWAC contracts and how to lead capture and proposal activities with these vehicles including but not limited to Alliant II, OASIS, ASTRO, GSA Schedule.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
