SAIC is seeking an experienced and highly motivated RF Engineer with a specialized background in aircraft and naval ship countermeasures. The successful candidate will work on cutting-edge projects aimed at enhancing defense systems and ensuring the safety and effectiveness of our nation's military assets. As part of our dynamic team, you will leverage your expertise in RF engineering and countermeasures to develop, test, and implement advanced solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design and Development: Design, develop, and test RF systems and components that are integral to aircraft and naval ship countermeasures. Integration and Testing: Lead the integration and testing of RF countermeasure systems on various platforms, ensuring their performance meets or exceeds requirements. Analysis and Simulation: Conduct RF system analysis and simulations to predict performance and identify potential improvements. Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation including specifications, design documents, test plans, and reports. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems engineers, software engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration and functionality of RF systems. Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in RF technologies and apply innovative approaches to enhance countermeasure capabilities. Field Support: Provide field support for RF systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues during deployment and operation.Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in RF engineering, with a significant focus on aircraft and/or naval ship countermeasures
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in RF design tools and simulation software (e.g., ADS, CST, HFSS).
- Strong understanding of RF theory, electromagnetic wave propagation, and antenna design.
- Experience with radar, electronic warfare (EW), and signal processing techniques.
- Security Clearance: Must possess or be able to obtain a relevant security clearance.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with defense industry standards and regulations.
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and real-time simulation environments.
- Proven track record of successful project execution in a defense-related setting.
- Active security clearance.
