The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Develop and implement programs/processes to establish and maintain quality standards of products and services
Develop programs to focus employees on quality improvement
Develop policies, procedures and methods to check product, material, components and/or operational quality and recommend improvements
Support engineering, business process improvement, procurement etc.
Be able to apply extensive technical expertise
Receive assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet quality objectives
Provide guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies
Establish and recommend changes to policies, which affect subordinate organization(s)
Develop technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree and five (5) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
Required Clearance:
No required clearance; US Citizenship required.
Required Skills:
Excellent technical, analytical, and engineering qualifications with outstanding customer service skills
Experience with document control, technical documentation, blueprints & schematics
Problem Identification & Resolution
Perform dimensional measurements with instruments GD&T and familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
Background in quality, engineering, aerospace, or military specifications is preferred
