SAIC is looking for a mission-driven candidate interested in keeping our nation safe.  We are currently looking for a Digital Signals Processing Support and Management Specialist who will work under minimal supervision on an interdisciplinary team of forensic media analysts for the National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC) with DIA.  

This candidate will identify any distinctive features and signatures associated with a source, emitter, or sender to answer a myriad of intelligence questions.  Experience in signal optimization, audio enhancement and authentication, and programming languages such as Python and MATLAB are expected.  

SAIC will fill this position with a self-motivator and someone with a keen attention to detail.  The right candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced environment supporting this high visibility mission.

 

Qualifications

  • Must possess an active/current TS/SCI with CI polygraph to be considered.
  • Two (2) years of full-time experience conducting signals processing, computer vision, rapid prototyping, and integration.
  • A BA/BS degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or other relevant discipline may substitute portion of this two years.
  • Foundational knowledge of digital media forensic exploitation processes and forensic methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in technical report writing to include editing and peer reviewing.
  • Excellent time management skills, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • Multimedia processing training or certification equivalent to the Law Enforcement  & Emergency Services Video Association International (LEVA) Forensic Video Technician Certification.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer science, or related scientific/engineering discipline.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in communicating complex technical material at all levels of understanding and expertise. 
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with IC reporting and databases.
  • Strong focus on continuous learning in audio and video technologies.
  • Fluent in any foreign language.
