JOB DESCRIPTION:
SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Enterprise Architect with a strong desire to enhance technical communication and collaboration for the NRO's Integrated Systems Program Office (ISPO) with the Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED) in Chantilly, VA. The ISPO is an OPIR Joint Program Office responsible for acquiring the Overhead Persistence GEOINT Architecture (OPGA) that will provide the user community with OPIR capabilities in a modular, open architecture that provides global, persistent, real-time surveillance and activity-based intelligence information.
As a Systems Enterprise Architect, you will provide system enterprise architecting, analysis, and system of systems engineering solutions that determine current and future national space systems.
SPECIFIC TASKING:
• Coordinating and supporting enterprise requirements, CONOPS, and architectures in various domains; supporting enterprise and system level requirements development for future systems; overseeing the allocation and closure of acquisition-level requirements with developers; participation in readiness events in support of enterprise, system and acquisition-level ground milestones; leading and supporting project planning; assessing schedule and risk; generating and presenting engineering briefings; and interfacing with numerous customers.
• Working across multiple Directorates and Offices to identify and define future ground capability needs.
• Frequent interaction with government, SETA, FFRDC, and external stakeholders.
• Identifying and defining future ground capability needs.
• Identifying key architecture and system level trades.
• Developing strategies in support of IC and Department of Defense (DoD) architectures.
• Assessing the performance of current and future architecture concepts.
• Providing technical and programmatic guidance to the architecture and system level requirements process.
• Developing system architecture models to capture the holistic perspective within the context of a larger enterprise.
• Preparing briefings for senior decision makers.
• Support SAFe Agile program development processes and activities.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience or a PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.
Must be a US Citizen with active TS/SCI security clearance with CI polygraph
Understanding of the intelligence community and customer domain, along with a strong focus on core systems engineering processes in support of end-to-end mission and services closure.
Proven experience with technical fundamentals in IC space collectors, command and control, mission control, and mission processing.
Expert-level proficiency with use of system architectures to support senior level enterprise decision making.
Experience with lifecycle readiness from architecture concept development and trade-offs, through system decommissioning.
Expertise in mission technical capabilities and system performance analysis and assessment.
Experience identifying user needs and gaps, identifying potential solutions, and assessing/analyzing alternatives.
Experience in supporting Requirements Engineering, CONOPS development, and system integration to accommodate End to End Systems Engineering.
Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment.
Customer focused and capable of representing the customer in community forums.
Working knowledge of AGILE Scrum and SAFe software development methods.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and various SE, PM tools.
**May require overnight travel up to 2 percent of the work year.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
OCSMP Certified.
Experience in UAF and SysML applications.
Advanced degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) or related discipline.
Experience with IC customer's Request for Change (RFC) process and the Engineering Review Board process.
Expert-level understanding of core systems engineering and analysis disciplines and processes.
Direct OPIR, GEOINT and/or SIGINT remote sensing systems, protection, and overall space and ground architecture including mission management and/or mission processing functions.
Direct experience supporting USAF SMC SBIRS System Program Office business operations/programs.
