SAIC is seeking a Senior Training Analyst Instructor to join our team. A challenging Instructor position that equips High School JROTC Instructors with the knowledge and skills to deliver developed Cybersecurity curriculum content. 

      The Training Analyst will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with DoD stakeholders (e.g., Army Cyber, U.S. Cyber Command, Futures Command, US Army Recruiting Division, Human Resources Command) and advise on best practices for cybersecurity education in high school environments.
  • Collaborate with U.S. colleges, universities, and STEM/AI businesses to develop STEM and AI curriculum for K12 and professional development, leveraging internal grant and scholarship programs.
  • Support the U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) by leading and advising on the development, implementation, and execution of cybersecurity curriculum and instructor training, managing approximately 20 JROTC Cyber Subject Matter Experts (SME) Instructors.
  • Develop and maintain JROTC Cyber coursework to enhance students' understanding of cybersecurity, STEM, and AI through instructional modules, slides, labs, and activities.
  • Prepare and instruct cybersecurity courses using modern training practices and procedures, including classroom and hands-on components, and facilitate training using electronic tools like Microsoft Teams.
  • Stay current with cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and identify and implement best practices to enhance program effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Work closely with project teams to offer individualized support, gather requirements, and attend leadership meetings to track project actions and support decision-making.
  • Assist in developing and reviewing JROTC project documentation, including project plans, timelines, requirements, milestones, and reports, and create reports to update command and program office sponsors on tasking status.
  • Monitor and evaluate training programs, assess results, and recommend and implement enhancements to meet customer requirements and team learning objectives.
  • Support program management, execution, and communications by performing tasks such as gathering information, analyzing and solving problems, visualizing and presenting information, and providing decision support.
  • Facilitate the training and professional development of JROTC Cyber Instructors by developing, evaluating, and executing training programs and activities, and performing system administration and maintenance on training equipment.

THIS IS A COMPLETELY REMOTE POSITION with less that 10% travel to the Fort Knox area. 

Qualifications

Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree and six (6) years' experience; Master's degree and four (4) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree. 

Clearance Requirements: 

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a full Secret clearance; Minimum of an interim Secret clearance required to start; US Citizenship required

    Required Experience and Skills: 
  • Prior experience in teaching high school cybersecurity courses and a thorough understanding of project planning, tracking, and oversight complexities.
  • Strong ability to monitor and evaluate schedules and activities, and effectively multi-task and prioritize work assignments.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with familiarity with DoD writing style guidelines and formatting standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools, especially MS Teams and Excel.
  • Capable of working across organizations with diverse stakeholders to build consensus and drive decision-making.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills, adaptable to rapidly evolving priorities.

 

Desired Skills and Certifications:

  • Prior military experience with a basic knowledge of the JROTC program and prior role as a Senior Instructor of Training.
  • Certifications including CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and CompTIA CySA+.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
