SAIC is seeking a ServiceNow Development Lead to support the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) under the newly awarded Information Security Services (ISS) contract, providing innovative solutions to strengthen and safeguard the nation's banking system. This position is expected to be hybrid remote and will require on-site work in Arlington, VA.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Provide ServiceNow expertise with skills to perform architecture design, development, and configuration enhancements
- Develop and Configure all ServiceNow functionality required to support automation and orchestration initiatives, processes, and functionality.
- Perform ServiceNow configuration activities, and introduce operational improvements and efficiencies (including automation)
- In accordance with industry best practices, implement ServiceNow workflows and automation, catalog items, data transforms, service portal, reports and dashboards
- Implement and maintain Event Management alert capabilities, Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and Asset Management systems
- Adhere to architectures and Technical Standards in the development and configuration of the ITSMS
ServiceNow Development:
- Develop and configure ServiceNow functionality using Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, Notifications, and Flow Designer.
- Write and maintain server-side and client-side JavaScript.
- Use Glide APIs to manipulate data and enforce logic.
- Support integrations by consuming or exposing REST/SOAP APIs under guidance.
- Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs and integration hub.
Data & Platform Support:
- Maintain data quality across ServiceNow tables.
- Configure reference fields, choice lists, and catalog items.
- Support CMDB updates and basic relationship management
- Perform data imports and transform maps.
Testing & Issue Resolution:
- Perform unit testing and functional testing of developed solutions.
- Troubleshoot defects and production issues.
- Fix bugs and implement change requests.
- Support UAT and post-deployment validation.
Platform Support:
- Monitor assigned functionality for performance and reliability.
- Identify and report technical debt or platform risks.
- Adhere to ServiceNow best practices and upgrade-safe development patterns.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and and fourteen (14) years or more of related experience; Masters and twelve (12) years of related experience
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and administration.
- Extensive experience with ServiceNow platform capabilities and tools, including scripting, customization, and configuration.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other relevant programming languages.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification.
- Experience with numerous ServiceNow modules
- Prior experience working with government or defense clients.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
