SAIC is looking for a Database Engineer to support the Electronic Warfare Data Systems (EWDS) program for the Airborne Electronic Attack Integrated Product Team (AEA IPT) located at NAWC Point Mugu, California. This position is 100% in-person and requires an active Secret security clearance.
Job Duties:
- Daily use of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps.
- Writing complex, dynamic SQL queries for relational databases.
- Design, develop, test, run QA, and debug software applications.
- Backup, restore, and prevent data loss for multiple databases.
- Writing stored procedures to automate manual team processes.
Modernize technical debt - create new database solutions for old queries/processes.
Qualifications
- Relevant bachelor's degree and two (2) years or more experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Must have SQL experience.
- Must have C# and C++ language experience.
- Working knowledge of Visual Basic and Microsoft Access.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Agile project management (e.g. sprints and user stories).
- Basic understanding of EW and AEA mission preferred, but not required.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
