SAIC is seeking a Junior level Software Test Engineer in Huntsville, AL to join a team of software, test, and systems engineers who develop, test, and maintain the Common Application Suite for Link 16 (CASL) software.
CASL is a Windows and Linux desktop application suite used to allow the user to interface with the Link 16 terminals when connected to the Link-16 networks. Candidate would work as part of a small team with the end goal of creating automated test scripts and manual testing for future CASL software releases.
Responsibilities:
- Write automated test scripts using the JavaScript and Python programming language.
- Develop test criteria and test steps to ensure software is functioning properly
- Coordinate with developers to report bugs and provide feedback
- Execute regression tests regularly and report issues as soon as they are encountered
- Investigate test failures and document clear steps to reproduce them
Qualifications
Education Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree and zero (0) years of experience are required. Six (6) years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree (per contract vehicle).
Clearance Requirements
Must possess an active Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance; US Citizenship required.
Experience Requirements
Software testing experience
- Experience with automated testing tools
Programming experience with languages such as JavaScript and Python
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing or testing software user interfaces
- Familiarity with the agile process
