SAIC is hiring a Senior Audio Visual/Video TeleConference (AV/VTC) Support Technician to support HHS in Washington, DC.
 
The Senior AV/VTC technician will provide ongoing support to Executives and employees in the Secretary's Operations Command Center (SOC) for our Executive Branch customer.

In this role you will be the AV and VTC Systems Team Lead that supports the critical communications technologies in our Federal Government customer's Secretary level operations centers.  The successful candidate will be responsible for leading on-site troubleshooting, tracking, resolving, and documenting technical issues with the video wall and related audio-visual systems in two operations centers.  Issues as requested via phone, email and internet chat will be documented and tracked within ServiceNow to fulfill these responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide on-site audio-visual systems technician support for a video wall (Crestron and Barco), video teleconferencing systems, and related audio-visual systems.
  • Install, connect to the network and maintain all audio-visual system hardware including video panels, video display processors, audio processors, input systems including Dishnet Sat TV, DirectTV cable TV, workstations, and satellite telephones.
  • Install and maintain audio-visual computer software on workstations including Crestron control software and Barco Sidebar.
  • Document incident and service catalog work in ServiceNow tickets, thoroughly and clearly documenting troubleshooting steps taken, fixes applied, workarounds implemented, and all customer communications.
  • Conduct ad hoc user training on audio-visual systems.
  • Perform incident response and client response coordination for hardware and other IT Operations related failures related to audio-visual systems hardware and software.
  • Perform routine AV/VTC system administration, including health checks and supporting incident resolution
  • Perform asset inventories by identifying and labeling AV/VTC system equipment according to documented standards and update inventory control systems as required.
  • Provide on-site support and ability to rapidly respond to user requests for VTC support, assistance, and resources
  • Ensure deliverables to internal customers are complete, consistent, high quality, on time and deliver valued outcomes
  • Evaluate and perform root-cause analysis on escalated issues.
  • On occasion, may perform off-hours and/or weekend support for SOC activations, exercises, planned maintenance work or changes, or outage troubleshooting and remediation. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's and 9 or more years of relevant experience and working knowledge of video wall, VTC and related audio-visual systems. May accept an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree. 
  • Documented experience with video walls incorporating Barco, Crestron, and Extron components.
  • Experience managing and configuring VTC and VoIP technologies including PolyCom and Cisco equipment.
  • Must be willing to work effectively within a team environment in a fast-paced support role.  Must possess excellent communication skills, be dependable, outgoing and positive with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience leading a team of 3 or more.
  • Working knowledge of common audio-visual systems and technologies.
  • Crestron/Extron/Barco Certification(s).
  • A+, Net+ certifications.
  • ITIL certification

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
