Varen, an SAIC company is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join out team. This position in located in Suitland, MD and requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph to be considered.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Primary responsibility for server operations, inclusive of hardware, operating systems, and utilities on the servers.
• Install, configure, maintain server and desktop operating systems, databases, and other software applications.
• Monitor server and network systems and facilities.
• Ensure high quality transmission on the network; Direct testing and analysis of system elements, including communications networks, hardware devices, software, power, communications, lines, modems, and terminals.
• Perform troubleshooting.
• Install hardware and software.
• Perform backups, database administration and file recovery.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Assist users in resolving IT needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
• TS/SCI with polygraph
• Possesses expertise in 1 or more operating systems, experienced with configuration, patch management, version and sub-version upgrades.

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
