SAIC is seeking a, Fully Remote, Systems Engineer to support the System Integration Lab (CSIL) for the Joint Lightweight Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) program to develop, integrate, and validate electrical and embedded systems for vehicle platforms.

NOTE: This position is currently funded for approximately 6 months with a potential of extending the funding beyond this initial period.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Design, develop, and integrate vehicle electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, power distribution, and CAN-based communication networks
• Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, system validation, and troubleshooting of embedded control systems
• Develop electrical schematics and perform harness routing using tools like Capital Harness, or Creo
• Implement CAN network topology and validate communication protocols such as SAE J1939 and CANoe
• Conduct EMC testing and compliance to ensure system reliability in rugged environments
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and implement vehicle control and automation solutions
• Assist in the development of prototype harnesses, wiring schematics, and system architecture for next-generation vehicle platforms
• Support production integration efforts, identifying and resolving electrical design issues for improved system performance

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's and two (2)+ years of  experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
• Must have experience with engineering design, modeling, and drawing development
• Knowledge of systems engineering and integration principles such as requirements definition, verification and validation testing, interface control documents (ICDs) and systems engineering management plans
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and work well independently and as part of a team

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

• Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
• Must be a current US Citizen

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
