SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer Director to provide Senior Systems Engineering expertise to Aviation & Mission System Project Managers and Systems Engineering Teams for Open System Architectures, Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), and the implementation of technology modernization for both Crewed and Uncrewed aviation systems located in Huntsville, Alabama.
JOB DUTIES:- Performs Systems Engineering activities including concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system & op. performance analysis, Lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA)
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications
- Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree and 20 years of experience
REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
- Must hold an active DoD Secret Security Clearance with ability for a TS
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Solid leadership and management skills, particularly influence management and conflict resolution
- Possess experience with metrics for assessing and reporting program progress, productivity and variance analysis
- High level of proficiency with MS Office Suite, spreadsheets, and presentation software
- Excellent collaboration and working across organization skills to achieve top performance results
- Be growth minded to expand SAIC's Customer base
- Self-starter and a problem solver with ability to see the big picture and implement changes
- Demonstrated success in managing staff planning, project reviews, scheduling and budget control
- Successful track record in managing complex defense programs as a prime or subcontractor
- Excellent leadership and oral and written communication skills
- Experience managing programs and projects within a vertically integrated company
