SAIC is seeking Systems Engineers to support the U.S. Space Force Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI) enterprise. You will provide systems engineering and technical integration support across multiple mission areas including requirements development, systems integration, test planning, technical baseline management, and stakeholder coordination supporting enterprise modernization efforts. If you are analytical, collaborative, and comfortable working directly with Government customers to translate operational needs into executable technical solutions this could be the job for you. Working in our Colorado Springs Garden of the Gods location.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop, analyze, and manage system requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • Support requirements decomposition, traceability, verification planning, and configuration management.
  • Coordinate technical activities across Government, FFRDC, UARC, and industry partners.
  • Develop engineering documentation including:
    • Systems Engineering Plans
    • Interface Control Documents
    • Requirements Documentation
    • Verification Cross Reference Matrices
    • Technical Briefings
  • Participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, and working groups.
  • Conduct trade studies, engineering assessments, and risk analyses.
  • Support technical baseline management and change control processes.
  • Assist with integration planning, system verification, validation, and operational transition activities.
  • Prepare executive-level briefings and decision-support materials.
  • Coordinate with program managers, chief engineers, and operational stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Support enterprise systems engineering efforts across multiple Space Force mission areas.

     

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical discipline (4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree)
  • 5 years of systems engineering experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or Federal programs.
  • Experience with systems engineering lifecycle processes.
  • Experience developing or managing requirements.
  • Experience supporting technical integration across multiple organizations.
  • Experience developing engineering documentation and technical briefings.
  • Experience working directly with Government customers.
  • Must have a current active Secret Security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with in-scope SSBI/T5 background investigation and obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Program accesses.

  • Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Configuration Management
  • Certifications: NCOSE ASEP/CSEP
  • PMP
  • Agile or Scrum certifications

 

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
