We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (TA) to support Air Traffic Controller training at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Instructors with non-instructional tasks to streamline the teaching process
- Serve as an instructor for the Air Traffic Basics course
- Provide support and guidance to students in specific situations to enhance their learning experience
- Prepare and organize course materials and resources
- Monitor student progress
Qualifications
Education:
- Must have an associate's degree in aviation from an accredited college or university
- OR a minimum of 1 year of experience as a TA or similar role in a STEM field
- OR one year of relevant aviation experience (e.g., former CTI instructor, flight dispatcher, flight/airline coordinator)
Training and Certification:
- Candidates will receive FAA general and course-specific training
- Must become certified by the FAA to meet specific defined job duties and responsibilities
- US Citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
