Job Title: Assistant Vice President - Project Management Office, Supply Chain Modernization

Position Overview: SalonCentric is continuing an ambitious reinvention of its supply chain. In conjunction with the Integrated Supply Chain leadership team, this position develops and is responsible for the execution of the project implementation strategy. (The build of DistriTech related modernization). The scope includes the organization, process, and technology across end-to-end supply chain initiatives. 

Critical success criteria for the role are development and accountability of the project management team, improvement of the omni-channel customer experience, enablement of growth and optimization of costs as identified in the project business case. 

Position Reporting: The Assistant Vice President Project Management Office will report directly to VP SalonCentric – Integrated Supply Chain. The person in this role is a member of the SalonCentric Integrated Supply Chain team. Working very closely with SalonCentric Leadership, L'Oreal IT Organization, and L'Oreal Central Supply Chain functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project implementation team. The current scope of the team includes:
    1. Stock deployment improvements (Anaplan)
    2. Order Management system enhancements (Fluent Commerce)
    3. Fulfillment Center implementation / 3PL integrations 
    4. Distribution Center physical redesigns and installations
    5. Warehouse Management system installation (Manhattan Active)
    6. Change management
    7. Anticipation and remediation of such applications in anticipation of SAP S4 conversion
    8. Anticipation of machine learning into new supply chain solutions
  • Lead Supply Chain Modernization “DistriTech” Executive Steering Committee Meetings
    1. Clearly communicate blockers to remove, needs to address, key decisions for the COMEX (L'Oreal Executive Committee Sponsors)
    2. Clearly define business cases, data-driven communication to facilitate decisions.
    3. Collaborating with Finance partners to follow progression v. business plans, trends, and budgets.
  • Support the project implementation team through coaching and sponsoring each project.
    1. Clearly identify any obstacles of implementation, provide clear options for solutions
    2. Raise project elements that require decision and direction.
    3. Connect project objectives with SalonCentric business strategy. 
    4. Co-build valuations of project returns and viability with Finance stakeholders. 
  • Influence effective change across SalonCentric organization, relevant L'Oreal organization and with associated third-party providers and contractors (at each level).
    1. Establishing effective stakeholder engagement with all SalonCentric channels, omni-channel operations, and omni-channel customer care
    2. Collaborate with L'Oreal central and global resources in Supply Chain, Omni-channel, and IT functions to achieve scalable solutions. 
    3. Build communication and change management strategies to increase adoption rates of new processes and technologies. Ensure effective change management plans for organizational awareness / desire / knowledge / ability / reinforcement.
    4. Drive negotiation process to achieve solutions where necessary with third party providers (3PLs for Physical Execution, IT providers, equipment contractors) 
  • Manage Project Planning and Cost (Capex and Opex) and is accountable for meeting Business Case assumptions.
  • Establish the appropriate Key Success Criteria for each project to ensure achievement of Business and Supply Chain objectives.
  • Transfer day-to-day process ownership after go-live and hyper-care for each project. 

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or equivalent with a minimum of 10+ years 
  • Proven people developer.
  • Worked with multiple, cross-functional business area managers and stakeholders and influenced resolution of conflicting objectives.
  • Highly organized with diligence – ability to provide strong structure for team in the face of changing environment and complex operating environments.
  • Demonstrated program/ project management mastery and experienced in implementation of software solutions, including Agile Methodology and Scrum.
  • Prior experience with onboarding and integrating third-party partners, including ramp up, hyper care, and managing to contract KPIs.
  • eCommerce and/or Retail environment experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Has been in key leadership role in successfully delivering business process and system solutions.
  • Proven record in meeting deadlines
  • Must possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills to devise solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills; Able to effectively present complex solutions to technical and non-technical staff at all levels of the organization, across multiple cultures/geographies
  • Collaborative and effective at building consensus across the organization
  • Travel required as needed to various operations sites across the U.S.

L'Oreal has workplace flexibility and programs to help manage our work and personal responsibilities which include up to 2 days of work remote a week for most functions (not including lab, retail store, field sales, plant, or distribution center-based roles).
