POSITION: AVP, Merchandising and Brand Development PPD

DEPARTMENT: Brand Strategy- SalonCentric

REPORTS TO: VP, Merchandising and Brand Development PPD

LOCATION: Clearwater, Fl (National Operating Center)

SUMMARY: This highly strategic and influential AVP-level leader is accountable for the end-to-end lifecycle management of a single, high-volume strategic brand or group of brands ($500M+ in business) within L'Oréal's Professional Products Division. The role drives the overarching vision of the brand and comprehensive execution for the brand's professional go to market strategy in the SalonCentric ecosystem, encompassing high-level strategic planning, robust P&L ownership, and cultivating dominant market positioning. The success of this role depends on the ability to cultivate powerful, collaborative relationships with strategic partners across the business to drive brand objectives

The AVP will architect and implement innovative strategies to achieve significant growth, market leadership, and profit maximization. Key responsibilities include leading the drive of brand launches and big bets, deep market/trend analysis, and compelling brand storytelling across all sales channels.

Strong leadership and development skills are required to recruit, mentor and empower a supporting category Director.

This role demands an executive presence and exceptional strategic negotiation skills to influence and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional executive teams, General Managers, and Presidents of brands. The AVP will partner with the partners across PPD to conceptualize, develop, and present comprehensive brand and merchandising strategies, acting as an invaluable strategic partner and thought leader for our brands and SalonCentric teams. A deep understanding of market dynamics, consumer insights, and compelling brand storytelling is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Brand Development & Commercialization: Champion and present a comprehensive strategic vision for the $100M+ brand to top senior executives and cross functional business partners. Drive brand launches and big bets, conduct in-depth market analysis, and provide expert guidance on commercial performance and brand representation.

Financial Performance & Leadership: Achieve ambitious sales and profit goals through meticulous planning and sales forecasting. Own P&L, optimize portfolio, and develop compelling promotional strategies. Lead category Director in support of Color.

Operational Excellence Effective inventory management through collaboration with supply chain and demand planning, drive continuous process improvement, and provide strategic feedback to field leadership.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field.

Experience: 8+ years of progressive executive-level experience in retail management, merchandising, or strategic brand commercialization. Proven success in large-scale P&L management ($100M+ brand) and influencing at the C-suite or equivalent level. Significant experience in the beauty retail/professional salon industry is highly desirable.
