Job Title: Marketplace Account Manager

Location: St. Petersburg, Florida (SalonCentric National Operations Center)

Summary:

Launched in April 2022, the SalonCentric Marketplace offers a one-stop shop for beauty professionals—stylists, estheticians, barbers, nail technicians, makeup artists, and more—providing everything they need to run their businesses. This role presents a unique opportunity to join an established company investing in digital growth and development. As a Marketplace Account Manager, you will directly impact revenue growth by analyzing seller performance, identifying growth levers, and providing strategic recommendations to optimize product turnover. You will be a key player in driving sales across a breadth of sellers in your assigned category. Cross-functional collaboration is essential to ensure stakeholder alignment while maximizing both seller and customer experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and adapts readily to change.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for sellers supporting growth initiatives while building strong relationships with top brands with a key focus on driving sales.
  • Support sellers in uploading new product catalogs via various integration methods (API, CSV, manual) and mapping products to our taxonomy with strong use of SFCC.
  • Optimize seller communication on back-office functions: catalog management, order management, SEO optimization, etc.
  • Oversee customer relationship development through the marketplace, handling returns, fulfillment, customer feedback, returns/refunds, and order management.
  • Track content status to ensure timely launch of seller products.
  • Conduct monthly business reviews with key leadership stakeholders for assigned categories.
  • Proactively anticipate business needs and drive process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure marketplace vendors are fully supported with promotional activities and digital marketing campaigns.  
  • Develop and manage an external contract employee for streamlined product support and account management efficiency. 
  • Research and test up-to-date marketplace trends and technology to ensure we stay ahead of the competition in the professional beauty space and overall marketplace landscape.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university.
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in eCommerce, Marketplaces, Business, Digital Marketing, Merchandising, or related fields.
  • Experience with eCommerce Marketplaces or Online B2B Retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Macy's, JCPenney, Target, Mirakl, etc is preferred.
  • Possess knowledge of and passion for digital commerce and marketplace platforms. Previous experience launching and/or scaling an online marketplace is preferred.    
  • Strategic thinker that can navigate multiple tasks in an ever-changing environment while always putting the customer experience first. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to understand, organize and communicate complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Knowledge of e-marketing KPI's and general understanding of web analytics.
  • Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
