Job Summary

The Regional Director will develop and lead ongoing retail strategies and to improve operating efficiency of assigned districts and increase profits. The Regional Director is accountable for identifying selling trends, developing strategies, and implementing strategic action plans to positively impact business. It is expected they will implement company policies and procedures through District Managers (Mentors), creating a fun and rewarding culture in their market.  The Regional Director must be a change agent who is able to lead their team in cultivating and executing company initiatives, recognizing great behavior where appropriate, but also actively addressing problems with a sense of urgency.   Retain and develop a high performing management team. The Regional Director must live within assigned region of the Southeast, which includes Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Exhibit ownership and provide consistent direction for assigned market as well as be a leader within the assigned region to execute business plans and ensure company objectives are achieved.
  • Responsible for developing and leading ongoing retail strategies and to improve operating efficiency of stores and increase profits in assigned region.
  • Control costs, inclusive of labor and T & E, and manages productivity within the assigned market.
  • Develop business strategies to positively influence sales within all districts/stores in the assigned market. 
  • Establish selling and management goals for assigned market and an evaluation method to track individual performance. 
  • Collaborate with PPD and Partner Brands to create in-store moments for our brands to enhance the shopping experience. 
  • Effectively utilizes reporting tools to analyze business trends for assigned market.
  • Travel to store locations to ensure selling, management and visual merchandising standards are met.
  • Collaborate with various business partners (Marketing, Communications, Store Operations, Training, Finance and Human Resources) to share best practices and execute business strategies. 
  • Drives a consistent brand amongst districts within the assigned market by providing strategic insight to the District Mentors and store teams.
  • Recruit, retain and develop a high performing and diverse management team with a complement of both internal and external talent.
  • Manager, coach and develop a team of District Mentors (District Managers) on business acumen, visual presentation and people management through store visits and exceptional onboarding.
  • Execute special projects under direction of Vice President, Stores Sales.

Experience, Competencies and Physical Requirements

  • 7 + years of managing multiple freestanding retail store locations with broad geographic scope.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales by leading, motivating and developing a team.
  • Exceptional business acumen required, including experience with budgeting and P&L management.
  • Highly resourceful, flexible and ability to solve problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and business partners.
  • Strong merchandising skills and proven leader in designing and implementation of traffic driving initiatives in the retail store environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with significant people responsibility drive sales by leading, motivating and developing management level direct reports and team members.
  • Proven project management and planning experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape and ability to translate findings to positively impact business. 
  • Highly resourceful, flexible and ability to solve problems in a timely manner.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Must be able to remain stationary or sit for the majority of a scheduled day.
  • Must be able to stand and move around a store for the majority of a scheduled day.
  • Able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment throughout the day.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management or related field of study (or equivalent work experience) required.
  • Ability to travel 60-80% based on business needs.
