As a key Savage team member, you will connect Savage's business teams with the technology that supports them by owning a portfolio of enterprise and business-dedicated applications, partnering closely with assigned business functions, and coordinating the projects that help those teams get more from their systems. This is a business-first role, not a pure system administration role: success comes from understanding the processes behind each system, shaping practical solutions, and following through, with AI tooling as a standard part of how you work. The role offers a direct path to Senior and Lead Business Systems Analyst, and into project management or functional roles.

The Basics:

Location: Midvale, UT

Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, In-Office

Technical Stack: Jira, various SaaS and in-house developed applications, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Power Platform, and business-grade AI tooling (Claude, Copilot, Grok Bot, or equivalent)

These are just a few of the benefits you can expect from working with Savage:

  • Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, Profit Sharing, and 401(k) with match.
  • Uniform Services Time Off (USTO)
  • Uniform Services Differential Pay
  • A culture that appreciates Team Members
  • Discounted on-site café

What you'll be doing:

  • Own a portfolio of enterprise and business-dedicated applications, serving as full administrator for some, and supporting the subject matter experts and power users who administer others
  • Manage configuration, access and roles, workflows, documentation, and vendor relationships for assigned systems
  • Build trusted relationships with leaders, subject matter experts, frontline users, vendors, and technical teams, serving as the main point of contact for assigned business functions
  • Learn the processes, users, and data behind each system, not just the screens and settings, and find ways to improve processes, data quality, user adoption, and system effectiveness
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, options, and tradeoffs; develop well-reasoned recommendations and work with business and technology leadership to reach decisions
  • Coordinate implementations, upgrades, integrations, acquisitions, and process improvements starting with requirements and planning all the way through testing, training, rollout, and post-go-live support
  • Keep projects moving with business leaders, project managers, vendors, and specialists by clarifying responsibilities, tracking work and decisions in Jira, and surfacing risks early
  • Handle requests, incidents, and enhancement ideas: troubleshooting issues, identifying likely root causes, and bringing in deeper expertise when needed
  • Use AI tooling as a standard part of the workflow
  • Cross-train across systems to provide backup coverage and strengthen continuity across the team

Requirements to be successful in this position:

  • 2+ years in a business, operations, or technology role working across people, processes, and systems
  • Hands-on experience configuring or administering a business application (users, roles and access, workflows, or settings) whether as a formal administrator or an experienced power user
  • Proven ability to gather requirements and turn business needs into clear, actionable work
  • Strong business judgment, curiosity, and an eye for practical process improvements
  • Experience coordinating projects: keeping tasks, dependencies, decisions, and follow-ups on track
  • Strong troubleshooting skills: finding likely root causes and pulling in the right expertise
  • Practical use of business-grade AI tooling (Claude, Copilot, Grok Bot, or equivalent) to produce real work such as drafting requirements, automating workflows, generating documentation, building test scripts, delivering training materials, and analysis
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong organization and follow-through, balancing daily support with multiple projects
  • An adaptable, service-oriented team player who enjoys learning new systems and business domains
  • BA/BS degree in business, information systems, supply chain, operations management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent applicable work experience
  • Business experience and technology aptitude matter more than a traditional IT background: relevant paths include operations, supply chain, finance, maintenance and asset management, safety and compliance, project coordination, and application support

Preferred Experience:

  • ERP, learning management, maintenance and asset management, or other enterprise SaaS applications
  • Jira or another work-management platform
  • SQL, reporting, analytics, or data analysis
  • SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform, or other workflow-automation tools
  • Software implementations, system integrations, upgrades, or acquisition integrations
  • Writing test plans, training materials, or user documentation for system rollouts
  • Working in logistics, supply chain, energy, agriculture, finance, maintenance, or safety domains

Here are some of the physical requirements for this role:

  • Primarily works in a climate-controlled office environment
  • Sitting for extended periods of time, up to 6-10 hours per day, while working at a computer or desk
  • Frequently uses hands and fingers for keyboarding, writing, and operating office tools
