Pay Range: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour.

What you will be doing
- Operating a railcar mover -We provide training and certification!
- Responsible for spotting railcars on the correct track; moving empty railcars and building the outbound train.
- Performing inbound and outbound Inspection of rail cars
- Sampling and unloading non-petroleum oils from rail cars utilizing pumps and onsite equipment.
- Cross-training and assisting with the different functions performed at the facility.
- Participating in and promoting the Savage safety program
Requirements of a Successful Operator
- Perform basic maintenance on unloading equipment (filter changes, etc)
- Basic computer skills
- Attend and pass all training associated with job-related coursework. This includes but is not limited to: OSHA, HazMat, and FRA-related courses.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Ability to work Holidays as required.
- Clear drug / alcohol test / criminal background check
- Experience in the Rail Industry and/or truck loading/unloading is a plus.
- Work experience in an industrial environment is preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- A high school diploma or equivalent work experience
- For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand, and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English.
· Here are some of the physical requirements of this role
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required for safety.
- Respirators may be required due to the nature of our work; therefore, a clean-shaven face is required to ensure proper fit and use of safety equipment Comfortable with heights up to 20 feet
- Walk 5+ miles per day on rail ballast or similar terrain.
