The Processing Operator supports manufacturing operations by safely operating and monitoring processing equipment to produce products that meet food safety, quality, and production standards. This role follows established procedures to ensure consistent product flow while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Operate and monitor processing equipment according to standard operating procedures to support production requirements.
- Follow production schedules, recipes, and work instructions to ensure accurate processing and product consistency.
- Perform required process checks, quality checks, and documentation to ensure food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor equipment performance and process conditions, making routine adjustments within defined parameters.
- Identify and report equipment issues, process deviations, or safety concerns to leaders or maintenance partners.
- Perform routine cleaning, sanitation, and housekeeping tasks to maintain food safety and workplace standards.
- Handle raw materials, ingredients, or in‑process product safely and accurately according to procedures.
- Support changeovers, startups, shutdowns, and other routine production activities.
- Work collaboratively with other partners to maintain steady workflow and meet production goals.
- Follow all safety, food safety, and quality policies, including PPE, GMPs, PCPs, and CCPs as applicable.
- Participate in required training and certification activities.
- Complete other production‑related tasks as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
- Ability to follow written procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate processing equipment.
- Ability to accurately complete production and quality documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
- Ability to work independently with routine supervision.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to defined limits.
- Willingness to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
