Primary Responsibilities:
Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices and good housekeeping guidelines. Must follow safety guidelines, wear designated Personal Protective Equipment, and meet OSHA safety requirements and ensure Food Safety measures are followed.
Lead and sustain lean initiatives in the plant.
Support process excellence continuous improvement activities.
Maintain frequent, detailed and effective communication with process excellence team, plant partners and plant leaders.
Provide guidance on lean manufacturing process and tools.
Facilitate cross-functional teams such as maintenance, production, and quality.
Partner with process excellence team to realize initiatives to support continuous improvement and regional ‘Belts'.
Understand, troubleshoot, and perfect the use of Process Excellence Lean Tools.
Analyze reports, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
Act as an important contributor to the total business process.
Insist upon food safety, partner safety, and product quality in everything that we do.
Take personal responsibility for administrative details pertaining to continuous improvement.
Interpret and ensure consistent application of established policies and procedures.
Identify and understand customer requirements and assist in assuring proper operation and product.
Record accurate date on production reports.
Establish and maintain effective working relationship with co-workers, subordinates and customers.
Perform other tasks as assigned by process excellence leadership.
Support all 4 shifts – must be flexible with hours to meet needs of business.
On a Daily Basis:
Develop forms, registers, and standard operating procedures for continuous improvement processes that comply with plant and organizational requirements.
Develop measurement tools that show compliance/non-compliance with plant standards as established by the program and communicate these with Process Excellence leaders, plant partners, and other members of plant leadership.
Identify and coordinate the implementation of Lean/5S projects that will result in a substantial increase in plant effectiveness.
Monitor and coordinate the control and sustainability of process improvement efforts related to lean activities.
Train leaders and hourly partners in defined process excellence and lean tools, programs, and policies.
Help define and implement process excellence continuous improvement concepts that align with corporate priorities.
Maintain and monitory plant partner training and documentation related to process excellence.
As Needed:
Participate in process excellence to sustain CQIA certification.
Work overtime as needed and maintain flexibility to assist all shifts in the plant.
Travel (including possible overnight travel) for training purposes and to provide support to other Schreiber locations.
Ensure plant process excellence activities are aligned with home office and Schreiber company program.
Other administrative, training, and participation as needed.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
Minimum three (3) years of experience and/or equivalent in a position requiring confidentiality, demonstrated leadership experience, and proven track record of establishing and achieving goals.
Understanding of basic plant processes and willingness to work on production floor to better lean and become familiar with all production processes.
Yellow Belt Certification, Lean Certification, or Green Belt Certification.
American Society of Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA). If partner is not certified, will be required to achieve certification within 1 year of accepting role and must continue to maintain CQIA.
Experience using 5S and other lean tools.
Skills Required:
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment.
Excellent organizational skills, establishing priorities, multitasking, and meeting deadlines.
Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Power BI, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project as well as Oracle Revenue Management Cloud Services (RMCS) and Oracle Process Manufacturing (OPM) as demonstrated through Wonderlic testing.
Passion and understanding for root cause analysis and problem solving.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptability to work any and all shifts as needed on an ongoing basis.
Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.
