The Senior Safety Associate supports the execution and improvement of safety programs to promote a safe and compliant work environment. This role applies working knowledge of safety regulations and practices to conduct inspections, support incident investigations, deliver training, and partner with leaders to reinforce safe work behaviors. Management of Human Safety in the plant and maintain 100% legal compliance related to safety. Minimize accident by implementing various safety system safety & fighting tug to partners.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Implement and monitor the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies.
- Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations including the Factories Act, NBC and state safety rules.
- Conduct regular plant safety inspections and audits.
- Identify hazards and implement risk control measures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Prepare incident reports and corrective action plans.
- Track closure of corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct safety induction training for new employees and contractors.
- Organize toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and safety week activities.
- Conduct mock drills for fire, chemical leaks, medical emergencies, etc.
- Coordinate with external emergency services if required.
- Maintain statutory safety records and registers.
- Ensure availability of updated SOPs, risk assessments, and safety procedures.
- Monitor safe work practices during maintenance and production activities.
- Conduct permit to work (PTW) system monitoring.
- Ensure contractors follow all site safety rules.
- Conduct contractor safety orientation and audits.
- Monitor safety compliance during contractor activities.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline is preferred. A Diploma in Industrial Safety is mandatory.
- 8 to 10 years of professional experience supporting safety programs in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general safety standards.
- Experience conducting inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills to train and engage partners.
- Ability to work independently within established safety programs and procedures.
- Proficiency with standard office software and safety documentation tools.
- Professional safety certification (e.g., ASP, OHST) preferred.
