THE OPPORTUNITY:
As a Financial Analyst, you will work with a wide range of departments to ensure accurate reporting of financial performance data to partners, firm leadership and other decision makers.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
On any given day, you will be working with firm partners and business colleagues on a variety of requests and projects. You will:
- Serve as the primary finance contact for the firm's legal project managers
- Prepare monthly timekeeper productivity reports and act as the point person for all related inquiries
- Assist the practice development, pricing and proposals team with scenario-based financial analyses on client competitive bid proposals
- Investigate and resolve inquires related to financial matters from various groups including attorneys and support staff
- Coordinate and prepare financial presentations for the semiannual partner meetings
- Support ongoing financial reporting system maintenance as needed
- Assist with compiling financial information in response to periodic industry and government surveys in which the firm participates
- Ad hoc reporting and financial analysis as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 2-5 years of relevant financial analysis experience, professional services or law firm experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.) required
- Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrates close attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and shifting priorities
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team
- Demonstrates a commitment to quality of finished product
- Ability to problem solve

The salary range for this role is $82,000 to $88,000 annually, which is based on a 40-hour work week. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Chicago This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
