- PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE, THE DYSRHYTHMIA EXAM (BASIC) THROUGH UNA IS REQUIRED TO BE SENT ALONG WITH ACCEPTANCE.
- THIS MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 24-48 HRS.
- PLEASE NOTE IT'S PASS OR FAIL AND THEY GET TWO ATTEMPTS (TEST A SHOULD BE ASSIGNED FIRST AND IF NOT PASSED, TEST B SHOULD BE ASSIGNED FOR THE RETAKE).
- A SCREENSHOT SHOWING THE NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS IS ALSO REQUIRED.

- A hospital near Sacramento is looking for experienced Telemetry RN for a travel contract.
- The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIH and CA License.
- Job Requirements
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- need 2 sup refs (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years worked
- Modules are required to be done before start of assignment. Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete-this time is not billable to the hospital.
- Must be flexible team member
- Charge RN rounds with interdisciplinary team
- Schedule Information
- 12 hr shifts. Shift starts 645. Report is at the bedside.
- OT and extra shifts are available.
- Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it.
- Schedules are out 4 weeks.
- Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves 'available' for extra shifts and make trades with other staff.
- Block scheduling is generally not available.
- Every other weekend
- Rotate in with core staff
- Unit Specific Information
- Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Ratios: 1:4
- EMR: Cerner
- Charge Nurse: Yes, generally does not take patients, but will do break relief.
- Nurse Aides: Yes as census and staffing dictates. 1-2 normally.
- Scrub Color: Navy - under shirts must be navy, white, or black. Scrub jackets are optional, must be navy.
- Tele: Yes, must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.
- Vents: No
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes, Hospitalist or Intensivist
- IV Team: No
- RT 24/7: Yes
- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
- Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor.
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Cardiac patient focus, general overflow. Stable non-titrating Cardizem, Amio, Heparin.
- Additional Details
- For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years).
- Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling, but we would include this verbiage on the confirmation.
- Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed.
