Position Summary:
The Distribution Lead is responsible for maintaining the process flow and all warehouse transactions within the department, and delegating responsibilities and instructions per Supervisor or Warehouse Manager.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Leads, coordinates, and participates in receiving, storage, packing, and/or order fulfillment operations requiring knowledge of material logistics processes, internal inventory systems including ORACLE, production/order requirements, and scheduling.
• Assigns work to utilize available skills, knowledge and experience, labor hours, machines and tools to the best advantages to obtain most favorable costs, accuracy, and completeness.
• Provides regular training, instruction, and guidance and maintains close surveillance over larger, more critical transfers, orders, or receipts.
• Analyzes and diagnoses problems and malfunctions to expedite and coordinate corrective procedures and to prevent excessive downtime and interrupted schedules.
• Assists with warehouse design and/or time studies to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Communicates daily with first shift and second shift Distribution management to insure smooth transition.
• Recommend new processes, methods of storage, or recording and coordinates changes with relevant personnel.
• Researches and Investigates inventory discrepancies and works to ensure that future discrepancies are minimized.
• Maintains appropriate levels of labor in accordance with skill requirements, work levels and schedules, and training programs. Maintains conformance with safety rules and regulations.
• Other duties as required.

Requirements:
• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast paced warehouse environment
• Ability to work overtime as required
• Maintain Inventory Accuracy above 99% for all assigned sub inventory locations
• Maintain daily put away
• Ensure picking is completed
• Ensure shipments are processed
• Ensure receipts are completed same day as received
• Ensure inter-org transfers are received

Education and/or Experience:
• Minimum education – High School plus 1-3 years previous experience.
• Oracle experience a plus.
• Computer experience including MS Office.
• Firearms shipment experience a plus.
