Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Nuclear Trained Senior Enlisted, Nuclear Trained Junior Officer, or Nuclear Trained Shipyard Employee
  • Experience in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP)
  • At least 8 years of experience with nuclear-powered submarines
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance, with access to Critical/Restricted Data (C/RD)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Emergency Planning experience within the NNPP, specifically in submarine operations and emergency response protocols
  • Experience with Virginia-class submarines


Responsibilities

Your role will be to provide specialized program management, advisory support, analysis, and subject matter expertise in the field of emergency preparedness and response to support the AUKUS Program Delivery Office (PDO). This role will be focused on researching and drafting emergency preparedness and response policy, program, and procedures necessary for the SRF-W capability stand-up by IOS (Initial Operating Support). This will involve the development and integration of innovative techniques, including strategic planning and emergency readiness assessments, in support of AUKUS Submarines and associated combat systems integration. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Provide program management and advisory support for the AUKUS PDO, with a specific focus on emergency preparedness and response planning.
  • Draft and refine emergency preparedness and response policies, procedures, and programs to support SRF-W capability stand-up.
  • Conduct assessments to identify, develop, and refine techniques related to construction, coordination, strategic planning, and enterprise-level assessments.
  • Conduct integrated enterprise assessments and contribute to the development of Modeling & Simulation (M&S) analyses to enhance submarine operations and preparedness.
  • Provide risk assessments and infrastructure, sustainment, and fleet readiness evaluations to ensure program success.
  • Support coordination efforts across stakeholders, ensuring effective integration and delivery of AUKUS submarine capabilities.
  • Contribute to the development of training programs for emergency response, submarine operations, and other key areas as identified.
  • Engage in strategic planning, project management analysis, and other related tasks as directed by US AUKUS leadership.

This position involves sensitive work in a high-security environment, and the Contractor will need to ensure compliance with all necessary security protocols and handle information with the utmost confidentiality. The Contractor is expected to collaborate closely with all stakeholders in the AUKUS program and deliver assessments and strategies to enhance the submarine capacity, capability, and readiness in support of national defense goals.
