Required Experience:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Science, Technology Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant relevant industry experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to software development, testing, and integration within DoD or national security environments
  • Proven leadership in technical project management, systems engineering, and stakeholder collaboration
  • Reports to designated work location in Colorado Springs, CO, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer

Salary pay range:  130k-165k



Responsibilities

SPA has an immediate need for a highly qualified Chief Systems Engineer who will be at the forefront of technology exploitation and development, shaping groundbreaking advancements in remote sensing capabilities. Will play a pivotal role in managing and innovating the infrastructure that directly supports the Strategic Missile Warning Ground Acquisition Delta's Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) mission.

  • Oversee and guide all systems engineering efforts supporting the OPIR TAP Lab and Boulder Ground Innovation Facility (BGIF).
  • Define, prioritize, and execute technical requirements, translating them into actionable and innovative solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive systems engineering trade studies to evaluate and recommend strategic technology investments.
  • Coordinate and maintain an Integration Roadmap for tenants of BGIF, optimizing activities, investments, and technological upgrades to achieve maximum efficiency and manage lifecycle costs effectively.
  • Lead efforts in exploring emerging technology trends, recommending strategic courses of action to ensure technological leadership and operational excellence.
