Qualifications

Required experience:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Master of Science degree from an accredited institution
  • Dedicated experience managing a space and/or intelligence program  
  • 10+ years industry-related experience in Program Management, Aerospace, Engineering, or related disciplines (15+ years of experience in lieu of MS degree)
  • Reports to designated work location in Colorado Springs, CO, up to full time, based on the needs of the customer

Responsibilities

SPA has an immediate need for a highly qualified Program Manager to join our innovative team supporting groundbreaking government space sensing missions. Located at the OPIR Tools, Applications, and Processing Laboratory (OPIR TAP Lab) and Boulder Ground Innovation Facility (BGIF), you will play a pivotal role in delivering technology solutions critical to our nation's security.

 

BGIF is the Government-controlled, Government-operated facility and infrastructure at Boulder, CO. BGIF provides the space and facility infrastructure in which OPIR TAP Lab (North) executes its RDT&E mission. In addition to the BGIF facility in Boulder Colorado, the OPIR TAP Lab North is logically and physically extended (currently three workstations; expect up to seven) into the OPIR Battlespace Awareness Center (OBAC). The OBAC is a facility within the SBIRS Mission Control Station (MCS) at Buckley Space Force Base (SFB), Colorado. SSC/SN oversees this facility.  SSC/SNGT OPIR TAP Lab at Boulder, CO is the Government organization with primary mission to perform RDT&E to explore, develop, advance, test, and deploy innovative data exploitation and processing technologies, capabilities and software applications.

 

The program manager will serve as lead for execution of the contract, updating the government and other stakeholders on the contracts progress. They will interface with Government leadership on daily activities of Contractor work efforts and will be the single source of programmatic knowledge and ownership of assigned work across the contract.

 

Key duties associated with this role include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage and administer the overall contract effort.
  • Provide on-site management of this contract; serve as point of contact (POC) with program authorities and representatives on technical and project issues.
  • Perform program management, to include providing and orchestrating resources, financial management, administering contract actions, monitoring performance, making recommendations for improvement, and by supporting meetings as they relate to activities to include the transition of projects.
  • Supervise program operations by planning, developing, and directing execution of the technical, engineering, training, programmatic, and administrative support effort.
  • Contribute to developing processes and procedures, plans/direct execution of the technical, engineering, programmatic, and administrative support efforts, and monitor the reporting progress.
