The SLA Analysis Group's mission is to deliver objective analyses, plans and strategies to US Navy, US Marine Corps, USAF, other DoD, and Australian Defence Force clients to support technology development, acquisition, delivery and sustainment decisions. The group provides the core of SPA thought leadership on Undersea Strategy, Software Development and Cost Estimating, with additional benchmark capabilities in AI/ML & Decision Analytics, Modeling and Simulation, and Future Force Assessments.
SPA has a need for a Configuration Manager to maintain accurate, controlled records of software, databases, systems, and network configurations supporting AF/A10 missions, the Foreign Clearance Program, and APACS. These roles ensure changes are reviewed, documented, and implemented in a disciplined, auditable manner across multiple environments.
Responsibilities
- Maintain configuration baselines, version histories, inventories, and documentation for applications, databases, hardware, and networked systems.
- Support change‑control processes and configuration control boards by reviewing proposed changes, preparing release packages, and coordinating deployments and cutovers with operations and system administrators.
- Verify and update configuration records after changes, ensuring accuracy and auditability across environments.
- Contribute to configuration‑management process improvement and help maintain CM repositories, tools, and reporting used by leadership and cybersecurity teams.
Qualifications
Required
- 4+ years of experience in software, database, or IT system configuration management, asset tracking, or related enterprise‑level functions
- Familiarity with version‑control systems, release‑management practices, and basic networking or system architecture concepts
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail
- Active Secret clearance or eligibility
- Experience with CMDBs, ITSM tools, RMF documentation, audit activities, or compliance inspections
- Background in database configuration, data‑model versioning, or enterprise network configuration
Pay Range Information

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Virginia, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $135,000.00/Yr.
