Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 15+ years relevant experience
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office toolset (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Effective communication skills including written, verbal, and interpersonal with various levels of stakeholders
- Proficiency in managing Technical Data Packages (e.g., mechanical/electrical drawings, interconnect diagrams, etc.)
- Secret security clearance, and the ability to maintain it throughout employment
Desired Qualifications:
- Agile SAFe engineering certifications
- STEM Master's degree
- Experience working in Defense ecosystem (e.g., familiarity with requirements process, developing retrofit kits, supporting engineering fielded systems)
Responsibilities
The person in this role will be responsible for applying Agile principles to functional tasks and activities of the IBCS Increment 3 Engineering team efforts related to requirements definition and traceability, Model Based System Engineering, configuration management, hardware/software development, platform integration, component qualification, and system qualification, to include technology insertion testing, failure review boards, reducibility, system modeling and simulation performance, product assurance, configuration management, test and evaluation, reliability, and in-service support for the all Increment 3 IBCS variants. The incumbent shall have experience with radio frequency (RF) and internet protocol (IP) network implementation in military systems. The incumbent will act as the Senior Level Engineer ensuring that all technical aspects of IBCS meet technical requirements throughout the system lifecycle. The incumbent will be responsible to the Modernization Division Chief for maintaining technical integrity and all engineering disciplines across all technical activities associated with IBCS Increment 3. The incumbent will be a direct support to the Modernization Division Chief for the proper application of engineering principles. As the IBCS Increment 3 Lead Engineer, this role will recruit and retain a high caliber workforce in order to provide technical support and staffing to the Project Management Office; develop briefings and information papers, as well as participates in discussions and briefings with senior Army, other Services, and OSD leaders, such as the Army Acquisition Executive, ASA (ALT) Systems of Systems Engineering & Integration, OSD Systems Engineering, and AT&L.
Major duties include serving as the IBCS Increment 3 Engineering SME and technical authority of Air Missile Defense Systems, serving as an engineer within the IFMC Systems Engineering work force, maintaining technical integrity with the IBCS Increment 3 programs, and coordinating with other program functional areas and agencies on technical/programmatic effort.
