The SPA Information Technology (IT) Department consists of over 30 IT professionals across the full spectrum of IT disciplines: end user support, systems administration, network operations, cybersecurity, classified systems administration, and policy & compliance.
The End User Services Team provides critical day-to-day operational maintenance, software installation, and end-user services. It offers great opportunities for those who are starting their IT career and those looking to build their qualifications and experience:

Responsibilities
The IT Support Specialist, as part of the End User Services Team, will perform day-to-day operational maintenance, installation, and support of end user laptops and workstations. The IT Support Specialist will perform troubleshooting of hardware and software, and work with other members of the IT team on any complex issues they cannot resolve independently. They will monitor the Help Desk including e-mail requests, answering telephone calls, and ticket management.
The End User Services team members also help to safeguard the network against unauthorized infiltration, modification, destruction or disclosure. The candidate will implement, enforce, and communicate security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware, and telecommunications, and may research, evaluate, test, recommend, communicate and implement new security software or devices.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- 2 - 4+ years of IT support / help desk experience in a Windows/AD environment
- Experience working in Microsoft Office programs and Windows 10 desktop operating systems, OS imaging and managment utilities such as BMC Client Management, Windows Autopilot, Tanium, or ManageEngine.
- Experience working in ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow, BMC Helix, BMC Footprints
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
- U.S. citizenship is required; must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- College credit or Information Technology (IT) technical coursework.
- One or more of the following professional certifications: A+ CE, Network+ CE, Security+ CE, Microsoft Associate.
Many jobs at SPA require obtaining, holding, and maintaining eligibility for a designated clearance based on the company and/or client contract requirements. Should it be required, an individual must be able to obtain the appropriate clearance within a reasonable amount of time based on the needs of the client. In some cases, the individual may need the requisite clearance before being able to be actively employed. Additionally, due to the protected nature of the work process and product at SPA, all positions require the execution of the SPA Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Some employees may be required to sign additional documents or complete other pre-employment or ongoing testing.
SPA employees typically work in a variety of office settings, some at an SPA office and some at designated client locations, where daily activities may include, but are not limited to, walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods, using computers and other technology, and being sequestered in SCIFs or other secured areas with limited access to outside resources or privacy. Other security requirements may inform dress code, personal accessories permitted, or technology usage. When applicable, employees are required to comply with the terms and conditions of client contracts as specified by SPA in its sole discretion, including, but not limited to, hours, location, timing, and technology usage, that meet logistical and security work requirements.
Pay Range Information

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Virginia, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $70,000.00/Yr. - USD $100,000.00/Yr.
