Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Some experience working in an office environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The capability to perform 95% sedentary work and occasionally lift or move up to 25lbs
- The ability to maintain a SECRET security clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a receptionist or in the administrative field
- Experience using a multi-line phone system
Responsibilities
You would be responsible for answering and directing phone calls, taking messages, greeting visitors, and badging visitors and directing them to various parts of the office. You must conduct yourself in a professional manner, including grooming, dress, and comportment. Your day-to-day tasks will include ensuring the office lobby is open and ready to receive visitors Monday through Friday. You will be responsible for answering the phone in a professional manner, screening and routing calls as needed. Greeting visitors with a positive, helpful attitude and notifying the appropriate personnel upon their arrival is a key part of the role. You will also help maintain workplace security by issuing, checking, and collecting visitor badges, as well as maintaining visitor logs. Additional responsibilities include sorting and distributing mail, receiving shipments and deliveries, and keeping your workspace clean and organized. This position requires maintaining a work schedule of up to 20 hours per week.
