In accordance with applicable wage transparency law requirements, the typical estimated hourly rate range for this position and location is $30.00 – 32.00/hr depending on experience. Potential bonus opportunity is tied to location and individual performance and has averaged $0 – $500 per year. No specific amount is guaranteed.

What you'll do:

As Office Administrator, you will use your strong customer service and problem solving skills to respond directly to requests supporting our sales team and customers and partner in operational excellence / administrative support for the Service Center. You will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction, retention, and sales results!
 

  • Sell company products and services to customers by processing orders, price and delivery inquiries, providing technical and application information, soliciting customer orders and suggesting additional products in a fast paced multi-tasking environment.
  • Maintain sales and service orders from quotation to collection including checking availability and verifying ship dates.
  • Review and manage job/order profitability
  • Assist in ordering materials for resale as well as order branch/office consumables
  • Invoice shipped product including VMI customers
  • Greet and service walk in customers
  • Work closely with Outside Sales to solicit business, execute order transactions and maintain superior customer service levels.
  • Communicate effectively and participates positively as a member of the Branch/Division inside sales team (e.g. sharing workload when possible, picking incoming phone calls, etc.)
  • Review monthly reports and taking action where necessary.
  • Participate in developing, implementing, and monitoring programs and activities related to product promotion and inside sales, office and warehouse functions, and customer service – as well measuring the results
  • Partner in managing vendor relationships
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years customer service or inside sales experience
  • Fluid Power/Hydraulics product knowledge and/or industrial sales experience a plus  
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills, multi-tasking, prioritizing, sense of urgency, sense of humor
  • Use of proper English grammar, written and verbal
  • Computer skills including Excel, Word. ERP / P1 a plus
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Purchasing and/or service writing for hydraulic shop / service department a plus
  • This position is not eligible for relocation benefits and is expected to be performed on site.
