About Us

Genie Recon, LLC specializes in restoring Genie aerial lifts and material handling equipment to like-new condition. We are dedicated to delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions while maintaining a culture of quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

The Marketing Intern will tackle creative and strategic projects that build Genie Recon's brand, showcase our reconditioned aerial lifts, and create an engaging environment for the team and visitors. Work together with the Genie team and SRC Marketing to keep everything aligned with style guides while driving visibility.

This position is part-time (16-20 hours per week).

What You Will Do:

  • Branding Alignment and Compliance: Review and ensure all materials—graphics, signage, handouts, promotional items, adhere to Genie Recon guidelines. Inspect layouts, copies, videos, and assets for consistency, then secure approvals as needed.
  • Facility “Look and Feel”: Develop and start implementing a branding plan for facility interiors (group areas, offices, signage) and propose exterior elements that complement our operations. Create welcoming, professional spaces that reflect quality reconditioning and innovation.
  • Content and Promotional Materials: Draw from existing Genie assets and create fresh Genie Recon-branded designs—signage, posters, leave-behinds (pens, pads), and promo copy—to support our messaging on reliable, like-new equipment.
  • Employee Styling, Incentives, and Attraction: Source branded clothing, hats, accessories, minigame prizes, and incentive products to boost team spirit. Develop local ads and manage placements to attract talent—highlighting the appeal of working in reconditioning and aerial lifts.
  • Coordination and Promotion: Team up with internal departments (and external partners when relevant) on ad coordination, media dissemination, event planning/support, and strategy sessions. Update websites and social channels with new content, repurposed materials, or promotional posts to increase engagement and showcase our value.

What We Are Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Keen design eye and detail focus for producing compliant, standout materials.
  • Comfort with tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, or equivalents for graphics and basic editing.
  • Good communication—you'll confer with team members, coordinate tasks, and help represent the brand externally.
  • Quick to learn, spot opportunities, and decide what advances our goals in a dynamic setting.
  • Preferred: Experience with social posting, event support, or sourcing branded items.

General Responsibilities:

  • Support adherence to the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) guidelines, particularly as they apply to the development, review, and approval of marketing materials, branding assets, and promotional content.
  • Comply with all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and applicable standards; consistently practice safe behaviors, including proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) during any facility access or material handling activities.
  • Adhere to established Marketing department policies, procedures, and objectives, while contributing to continuous improvement efforts in branding, content creation, and promotional initiatives.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and foster a collaborative, professional work environment through effective teamwork and communication.

Work Environment:

Work is performed primarily in an office environment within a heavy manufacturing facility, with occasional exposure to shop floor areas involving dust, fumes, noise, oils, grease, and varying temperatures. The majority of duties will be completed at a desk or workstation. Employees must maintain knowledge of Hazard Communication (HazCom) regulations and comply with all applicable safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements (including but not limited to safety glasses and safety-toe shoes) when accessing manufacturing areas.

Physical Demands:

Sitting 70–80%, standing/walking 20–30%. Occasional climbing, bending, or reaching may be required when conducting facility walk-throughs, photographing equipment, or placing signage. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds occasionally is required (e.g., moving boxes of marketing materials, branded merchandise, or display items). The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, talk, and hear.
