Associate Product Manager

Location(s): San Francisco, CA (Hybrid) / Washington (Remote)

SS&C Advent seeks an Associate Product Manager to join our cloud-based SaaS offering, Advent Market Data (AMD). The Associate Product Manager will have the right combination of technical and business acumen and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, agile environment. The role will identify product requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and then drive the features through development.

What You Will Get to Do

  • Conceptualize new product features and workflows and identify business requirements.
  • Author user stories, including a detailed description of expected behavior and workflows, UI wireframes for proposed new features
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, quality assurance, designers, and support to design and deliver cutting-edge, user-centric, functional software with high-quality and modern workflows.
  • Demonstrate proactive, strategic problem solving
  • Participate in validations with clients and prospects 
  • Resolve escalated support incidents and manage issue tracking for the product.
  • Discover and analyze Market Data providers.
  • Build and maintain client relationships. Help the development team get access to client feedback and information.
  • Collaborate with technical writers to develop first-class documentation, help, and case studies.
  • Collaborate with services and support to help drive customer success
  • Help with product release management
  • Communicate with global teams in regions like the U.S., EMEA, and APAC.

What You Will Bring

  • A minimum of 1-3+ years of experience with Market Data / back-office operations / Fintech technical product management / Fintech support is required. 
  • Experience with financial services, investment management, and a basic understanding of financial instruments is required.
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and technical proficiency are required,
  • Must be self motivated, creative and proactive. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Must possess excellent listening, presentation, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate ideas clearly to influence others
  • Project planning/time management skills and attention to detail are a must.
  • Experience working directly with clients is preferred.
  • Individual must possess a passion for designing software.
  • Experience with Cloud-based SaaS Applications is preferred. 
    Experience with agile software development practices is preferred.
  • Experience in interacting with Market Data providers such as ICE Data Services, Bloomberg preferred.
  • Flexibility in the work schedule to accommodate communication with teams in different time zones is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is required, Finance degree is preferred.

Salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, business needs, and geographic regions. Washington: Salary range for the position: 70,000 USD to 80,000 USD. California: Salary range for the position: 90,000 USD to 110,000 USD.
