Job Title:  Healthcare Call Center Intern

Locations: Remote – US – New Jersey or Connecticut

The Healthcare Call Center Intern responds to inbound phone calls and processes customer inquiries and requests using appropriate systems and databases. Follows all contractual and regulatory obligations while delivering high-quality service. Uses sound judgment to resolve customer inquiries, analyzes account history, and makes necessary updates based on customer interactions. Escalates calls when appropriate.

In addition to standard call center duties, this role supports the evaluation and integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and intelligent automation technologies used within the contact center. This includes identifying automation opportunities, providing feedback on chatbot and AI-assisted responses, and participating in pilot programs designed to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.  As a Health Care Call Center Representative, you will join a fast-paced, inbound contact center environment focused on delivering world-class customer service. You'll work closely with a team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. This is an ideal position for individuals who are passionate about customer service and excited about the role of emerging technologies in transforming the call center experience.

What You Will Get To Do:

  • Respond to inbound calls and assist customers with medical benefit details, claims status, and coverage information.
  • Document all customer interactions accurately within internal systems.
  • Escalate complex issues per established protocols.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of AI tools (e.g., virtual assistants, chatbots) and automated workflows within the call center.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams regarding the accuracy and effectiveness of AI-driven processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for automation and process improvement.
  • Participate in the testing and implementation of new AI tools and enhancements.

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team
