What You Will Get To Do:
The Technical Services Officer ensures that all regular scheme activities for clients are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with regulations. Acting as a key contact for Superannuation Trustees and promoters, the role involves producing reports, invoices, and other key documents while ensuring adherence to documented business rules and procedures. Additionally, the officer supports the Technical Services Manager with scheme reviews, ad hoc projects, and the production of quarterly and annual statements, while actively participating in various initiatives across the DDH group.
- Manage insurance premiums, invoicing, and lapsing processes.
- Provide subject matter expertise to Client Services and Accounts teams on procedures and processes.
- Complete quarterly and annual scheme reviews, including rolling forward insurances and pensions.
- Assist in producing quarterly administration reports for Trustees.
- Schedule batch processes for fees and insurance, and generate monthly administration, adviser, and insurance invoices or statements.
- Support project planning and production of annual and quarterly statements for superannuation and IDPS schemes.
- Handle ad hoc and regular mailouts, including annual pension letters and DVA schedules.
- Perform regular data integrity checks, such as managing negative balance accounts and nil balances.
- Liaise with Trustees to document all business rules.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procedural documentation in line with legislative requirements.
- Review registry system reports for data accuracy and coordinate with the systems provider to resolve errors.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with procedures and coordinate the GS 007 annual audit.
- Regularly review and update letter templates stored in the registry system.
- Execute monthly pension runs and PDC files for all schemes.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the Technical Services Manager.
What You Will Bring:
- Strong ability to plan, prioritise, and organise work to meet deadlines.
- Effective team player with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Proficient verbal and written communication, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders clearly and professionally.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to create and manage complex documents and worksheets.
- Experience contributing to projects, including drafting project plans and scope documents, using internal and external data and resources.
- Solid understanding of the superannuation industry and associated legislation (desirable).
- Proven experience in managing fund transitions or start-ups (desirable).
- Relevant qualifications in superannuation, finance, or a related field (certificate level or higher, desirable).
