Senior Associate, Risk Analyst

Locations: Palm Beach Gardens, FL | Hybrid

We are looking for a Senior Associate, Risk Analyst & Data Production resource for our client's Risk Team in their Palm Beach Gardens, FL or New York office.  The primary reporting line is to the Head of Risk Research and secondary reporting line is to the Group COO and Platform Services Head. This role seeks an individual to work closely with the investment, operations and IT teams in measuring, modeling and monitoring investment risks associated with the client's multi-boutique and multi-PM investment platform.

What You Will Get To Do:

  • Develop, Maintain and enhance daily risk modeling/monitoring processes. 
  • Review, produce and deliver recurrent and ad-hoc risk reporting/analyses.
  • Oversee enterprise risk limit monitoring system.
  • Generate returns-based attribution analyses.
  • Answer risk-related queries from a variety of business units including the investor relations, business development, investment management, technology, compliance, accounting and operations teams. 
  • Provide operational support for risk production environment, including QC of risk production data.
  • Maintain and enhance existing workflows to ensure the highest quality and completeness of data.
  • Coordinate with technology team members to implement risk data production processes.
  • Review risk application output and resolve any underlying data issues.
  • Understand production dataflows and how they impact various application and report output.
  • Assist in the development of systems used to evaluate investment risks and the systems producing risk data.
  • Interact with risk data vendors including software/data providers and consultants.
  • Become familiar with the accounting, valuation treatment and risk measurement for a variety of asset classes, including equities, futures, fixed income securities, listed options, currency forwards, contracts-for-difference, credit Default Swaps, interest rate swaps and other OTC products.
  • Review modeling and mapping reconciliations to ensure accurate and complete output.fault swaps, interest rate swaps and other OTC products.

What You Will Bring:

  • CS, Engineering, Mathematics, Fintech or Business with quantitative coursework
  • 2+ years of experience with a Hedge Fund, Investment, Finance-related software vendor, or hedge fund administrator's operations departments preferred, but not required
  • Ability to query and manipulate data from SQL Server databases.
  • General understanding of capital markets and asset class characteristics.
  • Motivated self-starter with an appetite for knowledge.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to set, organize and meet priorities;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently as well as with others in a small, energetic environment;
  • High level of initiative and critical thinking skills;
  • High integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality
